The savory pie gets an Aussie twist with Kate Kelly's meat pies.  A warm and rich concoction of steak and spices all wrapped up in a buttery crust will have you asking  "Please pass the Vegemite" !

    I made this dish without the bottom crust, as my man likes his mashed potatoes, and we didn't need so many carbs and fats. He called it a 5 star meal because the flavor is So good! However, I would not put the phyllo dough again by itself because it did sink somewhat into the meat stew. Instead, I think I'd put it on patty shells for a nice presentation.

    As Kate's grandma, I am proud and very impressed with her presentation and her confidence as a chef. I have had the chance to sample it here now and it is terrific! Always knew she could it! The recipe was simple, clear and easy to follow and the results delicious. Look forward to the next Kate Kelly creation.
