Soups & Sauces » Spicy Senegalese Dipping Sauce
Marie-Claude Mendy, owner of Boston's Teranga restaurant, shares her recipe for a versatile dipping sauce. Influences of Senegalese cuisine are evident in the ingredients. Senegal, colonized by the French, draws influences from French and Vietnamese cuisines. Sriracha chili sauce, lime juice, honey and mayonnaise are simply whisked together and seasoned. Serve this sauce alongside Marie-Claude's Salmon Fataya, or as a flavorful spread on sandwiches.
