As a kid who grew up in Eastie, Pizza gaina was a staple at Easter. Havent had it in years due to family members dying and all. Thanks again. Oh by the way I have cousins who are sisters and their names are Carla and Christine.

I really miss REAL Italian food (can't get it here, I live in Palm Springs, CA) and try to hit "good" Italian retaurants when visiting Family in Boston; nebo is now on my list. As an Italian from Boston, Pizzgiana was always a treat every year unfortunately my mother's receipe died with her 25 years ago. This is the first time that I have found anything close; KUDO's!! I'm hoping that you are willing to share a good meat sauce, eggplant parm and Parmaginia (not sure of spelling, it's an Italian pastry cut into squares with a flakey crust, rum cake layers and chocolate and vanilla pudding layers) receipes. Also, any good Italian bread receipes? I am now your biggest fan! Thanks! PS: Really glad I found you -- Dennis Mario, my mother was a D'Agostino
