Q:

How do different cookware surfaces on cookware (i.e. Teflon versus Stainless Steel) affect the taste of your food and the ease of cooking it? Are some surfaces better than others in certain situations?

The variables and choices made regarding the what, how and when in cooking is what makes it forever fun to me.I love copper pans lined with tin ,enameled iron like le cruset or staub (expensive but worth it)and good quality heavy gauge aluminum.I recently starting using a cast iron dutch oven which gives a unique flavor and texture. The stainless steel is in my opinion the worst surface for cooking. The celebrity chefs that push s.s should be ashamed of themselves because they know better. good luck
