A:Cooking sprays now come in a variety of flavors, e.g., sunflower, extra virgin olive oil, canola and grapeseed. What you want to look for on the ingredients label to insure that they're a healthy replacement for olive oil or butter is that they (1) do not contain hydrogenated or partially-hydrogenated oils (containing trans fats), and (2) no chlorofluorocarbons (which contain chlorine and other organic compounds you don't want in your food). There are many wonderful brands on the market now, including organic types, so enjoy!Posted Friday, August 28, 2009 at 5:05 pm by how2heroes

A:Whether it's sprayed or poured, the safest bets are those that have been around for a long, long time. We all saw what happened when an industrialized world created a new and better fat - hydrogenated oils. Yikes. For the most part, I stick with olive oil and organic butter. They are actually quite good for you! http://www.findyourbalancehealth.com/2009/06/you-need-fat/Posted Friday, October 9, 2009 at 6:25 pm by Michelle @ Find Your Balance
