Ants on a log is a fun snack. You take celery, line it with peanut butter and then add raisins as the "ants." Another option, albeit a little sugary, is apples and honey (or, in place of honey, agave nectar). Something a little more hearty is to take smaller bell peppers and fill them with tuna salad. If the tuna salad is light on the mayonnaise, or you use a mayonnaise substitute (either vegan mayo or a cucumber and yogurt-based substitute), you have a small meal that's healthy and fun.

We've done a few videos that provide some tips on great snacks for kids - that are healthy as well! http://how2heroes.com/videos/entrees/turkey-wrap Is a great way to get your kids to eat a bit of protein http://how2heroes.com/videos/techniques/freezing-blueberries is a quick technique you can do with your kids. Take them out of the freezer for a great snack on a hot day. Or pop a few frozen blueberries in a cup of juice and they make nice fun "ice cubes" as well!

You can make banana-sicles! Cut peeled banana in half and stick a popsicle stick in the bottom. Roll in chopped nuts or coconut and freeze.

I make turkey rolls - take a slice of deli turkey and wrap it around a piece of cheese - fun to eat because it's a sandwich without bread. Frozen grapes are always delicious as well.
