This flavorful Persian stew is loaded with texture, color and aroma. Mahin Alavi shares her version of a hearty celery stew which can be made with lamb or beef. Saffron, turmeric and a splash of fresh lemon juice add the finishing touches. Serve with a generous helping of Mahin's Saffron Rice.

In more traditional recipes celeries are steamed much longer and more cooked in the process and are quite soft. Also, there are a lot more different herbs and spices added in the process.
