Christian Touche, originally from Provence, France, has known that he wanted to be in the restaurant business since he was just 8 years old. As a student, Christian focused mainly on finance and restaurant management -- planting the seeds for a flourishing career early on. Christian moved to the States with his wife, then took a position in Boston overseeing Ken Oringer's dining room at CLIO in 1997 where he worked for 12 years. AKA Bistro opened in 2010 in and is the brain child of both Christian and Executive Chef Chris Chung. The menu is influenced by Christian's mother's cooking (Anny Touche makes frequent visits to the restaurant from her home in Provence, to oversee the menu and teach new recipes). AKA Bistro also boasts a Japanese menu that offers an impressive selection of sashimi and Asian-inspired offerings.
