How-to
Chef Jose Duarte's Tips
- Conserve Water. Clean or replace the aerator on the water spout. This will reduce water consumption but will not affect water pressure
- Energy Star Products. Check for the Energy Star label on appliances. They use less energy and will save you money
- Energy Efficient Light Bulbs. Use dimmable lights, CFL (compact fluorescent) or LED (light-emitting diodes). These use much less energy than incandescent light bulbs
- Composting. This will reduce trash and can be used as fertilizer for your yard
- Buy Local. Visit your local Farmers' Market. Buying locally grown products reduces trucking in products from great distances, thus reducing vehicle emissions
