Rice Crispy Critters & Sushi
Ingredients
Crispy Rice Shapes
- 3 tbsp butter or margarine
- 1 pkg (10.5 oz, about 40) mini marshmallows
- 6 cups crispy rice cereal
Decorations
- oil or water to coat hands
- chocolate chips, melted with a drizzle of canola oil
- marzipan, colored as desired with food coloring
- M&M's & other small candies
- mini chocolate chips
- white chocolate chips
How-to
Heat Marshmallows & Cereal
- Melt butter over low heat in a large saucepan
- Add marshmallows and stir until melted
- Turn off heat, add cereal and stir until coated, working quickly but taking care not to crush the cereal
Make Shapes & Decorate
- Coating hands with water or oil before forming shapes for easier workability
- Take a handful of warm crispy treats and form shapes. Allow to cool
- Melt chocolate chips in a microwave with a drizzle of canola oil on low setting in 40 second intervals, stirring between each interval, until melted
- Decorate as desired with candy, marzipan or chocolate coating
