Rick's Kickin' Turkey Chili
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 2 red peppers, chopped
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 2 hot green peppers, split, seeded & chopped
- 2 jalapeno peppers, split, seeded & chopped
- 1 whole head of garlic (more or less to taste), chopped
- 1 pkg chili mix
- ½ tsp basil
- ¼ - ½ tsp oregano
- 1 tsp seasoned salt
- 2 16-oz cans dark & red kidney beans, drained
- 1 12-oz can diced tomatoes with jalapenos
- 1 12-oz can diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 12-oz can tomato sauce
- 1 12-oz can chicken broth
- 6-8 tbsp brown sugar
- cayenne pepper to taste
- tortilla chips
How-to

Chop all vegetables to the desired chunkiness

Add to stock pot with about 6 tbsp olive oil

On high heat, start cooking the vegetables for 2-3 minutes

Add spices and turkey and mix well

Reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring

Add 2 cans dark & red kidney beans, drained

Add 1 can diced tomatoes with jalapenos

Add 1 small can diced tomatoes with green chilies

Add 1 can tomato sauce, 1 can chicken broth, 6-8 tbsp brown sugar and bring to a boil. Then lower heat, cover and simmer 40-60 min, stirring occasionally
