Apple-Miso Sorbet
Ingredients
Simple Syrup*
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups water
Additional Ingredients
- 8 unpeeled Fuji apples, chopped
- 3 tbsp white miso paste
- 2 cups simple syrup*
- ½ cup water
Garnish Suggestions
- dehydrated apple slices
- crushed peanut brittle
Equipment
- blender
- fine mesh strainer/chinois
- ice cream maker
How-to
Make Simple Syrup
- Mix equal parts sugar and water. Heat until all the sugar has dissolved
- Let cool before use
Make Sorbet
- In blender, purée apples with miso paste and simple syrup. Add water, if needed, to make a smooth purée
- Strain mixture, then chill and freeze in ice cream machine according to manufacturer's directions
Serving Suggestion - Serve with dehydrated apple slices and crushed peanut brittle
