Vanilla Vodka
Ingredients
- 2 vanilla beans, (Madagascar and/or Mexican), chopped into 3 pieces each
- 1 quart unflavored vodka
Special Equipment
- sieve/strainer
- 1 quart glass jar with lid
- tape & marking pen
- funnel
- bottle with stopper for your finished product
How-to

Placed chopped vanilla beans into a 1 quart mason jar and fill the jar with vodka

Add the lid, label the jar with the date and give it a good shake

Every day over the next 5 days, give the jar a shake. Mixture will turn amber in color

Start tasting at about 3 days and taste every day until the vanilla flavor comes through but no bitterness

After 5 days (or desired flavor has been reached), strain into a bottle with a stopper and it's ready to serve
