Tarragon Soda
Ingredients
Simple Syrup* - prepare ahead of time & let cool
- 5 cups hot water
- 5 cups cups sugar
Tarragon Syrup
- ½ quart of the cooled Simple Syrup*
- 1 large bunch (10 oz) tarragon leaves
Additional Ingredients
- ice cubes
- seltzer water

How-to
Make Simple Syrup - prepare head of time to give time to cool
- Combine hot water and sugar in heatproof container
- Stir to dissolve sugar and allow to cool before use
Make Tarragon Syrup
- Add tarragon leaves to a blender with ½ quart of the cooled Simple Syrup
- Blend well, until completely smooth (until tarragon is "pulverized")
- Add to remaining cooled Simple Syrup
Assemble & Serve
- Add ice cubes to a 10 oz glass with ice
- Fill ¾ full with seltzer water
- Add 2 oz of Tarragon Syrup per 10 oz glass, stir and enjoy!
Note: This recipe makes lots of Tarragon Syrup! So store, covered, in the refrigerator for up to 1 month and use to flavor your favorite beverages (cocktails too!)
