Mint Julep
Ingredients
- 2 springs of mint (1 to make the cocktail; 1 for garnish)
- 1 oz simple syrup
- 2 oz Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (1 oz added at the beginning & end of preparation)
Special Equipment
- crushed Ice
- muddler
- tall cocktail glass
How-to
- Pour simple syrup into a glass. Gently muddle one sprig of mint into the simple syrup, then remove mint (or if you like, you can leave it in)
- Fill glass with crushed ice, then add bourbon, top with more crushed ice, and stir
- Add a sprig of mint as a garnish
