Lavender Lemonade
Serves 6
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 5 tbsp dried lavender, or 4 tbsp fresh lavender
- juice of 5 lemons
- 2½ cups water
- ice for serving
How-to
Make Lavender Simple Syrup
- Bring sugar and 1 cup water to a boil over high heat in a small saucepan
- Add lavender buds and boil 1 minute
- Remove from heat and let sit to steep at least one hour, up to overnight
- Pass through a fine-mesh strainer to remove the buds
Make Lemonade
- Add lemon juice to a pitcher and add strained simple syrup
- Stir in 2½ cups of water, fill with ice and serve!
Note: If not serving immediately, wait to fill with ice until you are ready to enjoy it
