Jackson's Hot Buttered Rum
Ingredients
For 1 Cocktail
- 1½ oz rum
- hot water
- 1 heaping barspoon (2 tbsp) of batter (*see ingredients below)
Batter
- equal parts unsalted butter & brown sugar
- cinnamon to taste
- allspice to taste
- freshly grated nutmeg to taste
How-to
Make Batter
- Add butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg in a blender and blend to a creamy consistency
Make Cocktail
- Heat a mug with hot water then discard once glass has been warmed
- Pour rum into the mug, then add hot water
- Add the rum batter and stir to integrate, then top with more hot water
- Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg
