Bois de Rose Cocktail
Makes 1 cocktail
Ingredients
- ½ oz bitter orange liqueur (Aperol recommended)
- ice
- 1 oz dry gin
- ½ oz St~Germain (elderflower liqueur)
- juice of ¼ lemon
- rosé Champagne (or sparkling wine)
- orange peel for essential oils & garnish
Special Equipment
- jigger
- cocktail shaker
- peeler or channel knife
- flute glass
How-to
- Pour orange liqueur into a flute glass and swirl around to coat the glass. Discard excess remaining in glass
- Fill shaker with ice. Add gin, St~Germain, and the juice of ¼ of a lemon. Cover and shake until you begin to see frost on the shaker
- Strain and pour into a flute glass. Top with rosé Champagne
- Squeeze orange peel into drink to release essential oils. Drop the peel into the glass as a garnish and serve
