Sherry Eggnog
Makes 1 cocktail
Ingredients
- 4 oz sherry
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 oz simple syrup (equal parts sugar dissolved in water)
- milk to fill
- freshly-grated nutmeg
Special Equipment
- cocktail shaker
- bar measuring cup
- 10-oz tall glass
- long cocktail straws
How-to
- Combine sherry, egg yolk and simple syrup in shaker and shake for about 10 seconds to emulsify
- Add ice and shake again for a very long time (until your arms hurt! - or until the shaker frosts over)
- Strain into an ice-filled 10-oz tall glass and top with milk
- Garnish with freshly-grated nutmeg, add a tall straw, and serve
