Tuna Poke

Serves 3-4 as an appetizer

Ingredients

  • 8 oz "#1 sushi-grade" tuna
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sambal olek (spicy chili sauce)
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp chopped scallions
  • pinch of sesame seeds
  • salt & pepper (if needed)

Suggested Garnishes

  • bloomed, chopped seaweed
  • sesame seeds
  • chopped scallions
  • lime wedge

How-to

  1. Slice tuna thinly with a sharp knife, then cut each slice into small cubes
  2. In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients together, coating all pieces of tuna
  3. Plate and serve immediately. Garnish with sesame seeds, scallions and a lime wedge
