Mussels Kaiyaki
Serves 10-15
Ingredients
- ½ lb of crab meat
- 2 lbs (about 30-40) frozen New Zealand green muscles or local large mussels, steamed
- 8 oz shiitake mushroom
- 8 oz enoki mushroom, (but it can be any mushroom)
- 1-2 oz flying fish roe
- 10 tbsp Japanese Mayo
- 1 bunch minced scallions
How-to
- Chop mushrooms, steamed and shelled mussles, and crab meat into small cubes
- Shred the crab meat and mix with mushrooms, mussels, flying fish roe, scallions and Japanese mayo
- Scoop onto clean mussel shells
- Bake at 350° 7-10 minutes until tops are brown
